ITECA KILN INLET AND OUTLET SEALS
Seal Principle
A specially designed circular bearing race (or sliding track) is mounted on the kiln and adjusted to compensate for any pre-existing eccentricity. The graphite plates are mounted on a specific support (designed case by case) which is bolted on the kiln hood. The plates are held in contact with the circular bearing race with the help of 2 metal cables and adjustable counterweights. The graphite plates are cooled with a dedicated cooling fan. The air used for cooling are cancelled along the graphite plates and exits the seal to the atmosphere again. The graphite plates overlap with a dog leg design the overall seal tightness.
